Scandinavia and the Baltic States 2020

Now it is already 13.06.2020, we are still at home due to corona. The borders are slowly opening again and we finally decide to drive off. We already packed the car in March – however, we don't know anymore today, what we have packed and certainly not any more, where we put it ?!? So let's get started, to clear out and reorganize everything again. A little sadness comes up. With our last mobile home "BIMOBIL" we were on the road so often and yet so well rehearsed, that a look into the individual cabinets was enough to be well prepared. We enjoy it and are convinced, that we are sure to look for one or the other thing on the way and that we will change our organization several times. We are slowly coming to the point of satisfaction and want to start our Henriette. The engine does not start. Sooooo a shock. The battery and starter sound good – the diesel seems to be missing ? The troubleshooting started.

An acquaintance of a friend came up to me and helped find the problem. It was the shut-off valve, which no longer worked. When we removed the magnet in the valve, he started immediately, but could then no longer be switched off via the ignition. The constant stalling would not have been good for the health of our Henriette, so we installed a new valve. Everything is all right again, and the journey could finally begin.

Our first stop was Kassel. We found a nice place there in the meadowlands, from which we took a great walk on the site of the former Federal Horticultural Show. The next day we marched to Hercules and burned a lot of calories, which we were able to replace with a friend in Hanover that evening.

Unfortunately we didn't really feel like having breakfast – the strawberries in the punch must have been out of order :):) It went on from Hanover to Kiel. We also visited old friends there and had a nice evening together. From there it went after a short hamster shopping (Alcohol in Scandinavia is said to be expensive ??) on towards Sweden. The weather was great and there was little traffic. So we made up our minds, Denmark can only be used as a transit and directly via the major ones, very impressive Oresund Bridge & Storebelt Bridge to enter Sweden.

Once there, it is raining from buckets. A few km from Malmö we have a parking space in a beautiful rural area, found a quiet location. We are in Vellinge lat.55º30 ‘longE13º5‘52“.

The price: 10 € (you can't complain) with toilet and shower, You can fill up with water. Straighter, Gravel place with little comfort – but space to run around and run for our security team ! Electricity can be used for 5 Book € per day, we hope now, that the sun will shine again tomorrow and that our photovoltaic system can work.
